Coverage: What Each One Claims
Coverage numbers are hard to compare. Each company counts something different, and none of these numbers is a count of confirmed removals.
Incogni
Incogni's pricing page lists "420+ data broker sites covered" on every plan. Its higher Unlimited plan adds custom removal requests. Incogni describes its removals as recurring.
DeleteMe
DeleteMe's pricing page does not give a number of sites. It says plans remove you "from all major data broker websites." Every plan includes quarterly privacy reports and custom removal requests. DeleteMe says it has been in business since 2011, and its plans include a personal DeleteMe privacy expert.
GhostVault
Our list holds 650+ registered data brokers from the California, Vermont and Oregon registries. Of those, 580+ list a working privacy address, and each of those gets a legal deletion demand by email under state privacy laws such as the CCPA. Some brokers only accept a web form. If you agree in Settings, we fill in and submit supported forms for you. We do not solve CAPTCHAs, so a few forms still need you.
Broker rescans run every 30 days, and public-web discovery runs weekly. Brokers that stay silent get follow-ups, up to four letters each.
What You Can See Afterward
This is where GhostVault is built differently.
- Every broker reply, word for word. Not a summary, and not a progress bar.
- "Removed" means confirmed in writing. A sent or delivered request is not counted as a removal.
- A kept record. Original correspondence and timestamps are saved, so you can show what was sent and what came back.
- Weekly progress report and daily breach re-checks for up to 10 email addresses.
DeleteMe's quarterly reports and Incogni's dashboard show progress in their own way. We have not tested either for this page, so we are not rating them. We would rather you ask each service the same question: what proof do you show me for each broker?
No service can guarantee removal. Brokers decide. For what their replies look like at scale, see our compliance report.
Families
Incogni lists Family plans for up to 5 members. DeleteMe lists a two-person plan and a Family plan. GhostVault Family is listed at $129 a year or $14.99 a month. Check the pricing page for which household features are open today.
Which One to Pick
- Incogni if you want a published site count and are fine paying for a year up front.
- DeleteMe if you want a long-running company with a named privacy expert and quarterly reports, and the higher price is fine.
- GhostVault if you want the lowest price of the three, monthly billing without a contract, and every broker's reply in front of you.
